Abstract:
Recent results on the analysis of models and structural properties of linear distributed systems are presented. The presentation emphasizes the role played by harmonic analysis in these studies. The conclusions are that a careful selection of mathematical methods makes possible a satisfactory classification and detailed analysis of distributed systems models. These methods provide simple models that reflect input-output data of engineering importance.
